One year
I was going to blog today about Abby's first birthday, but Katrina beat me to it and said it much better than I would have. Check it out here.
I have my first four-day weekend in a long time starting today. We'll have family from Iowa and New England in town all weekend, so it will be busy and great. Weather permitting, we will have picnic lunch birthday party tomorrow.
Now we just have to hope Abby stays happy and friendly all weekend ...

Our experience with Alice and planning events is that they tend to mess with her normal schedule for nap times, meal times, and bed time. With young children that can result in... let's just say a little crankiness.
Not that is isn't usually worth it to make the attempt. We've just learned to include that in our expectations.
Happy Birthday to Abby!!! It has been so uplifting and enjoyable to read about her first year and I am so thankful for all of the answered prayers that her life today represents!!! Your family is truly blessed!
